We decided to start with Arlington Cemetery and then walk to Iwo Jima monument. Well, if you don’t know it, Arlington is HUGE! I mean huge. And then when you are given wrong directions to the monument – sheesh! But it is a really moving place.

From the cemetery we went to the Iwo Jima Monument. Long walk but so worth it.
The faces were really awesome.This plaque tells who each one of the six soldiers were and which service.Ross really wanted the boys to know that the man on the back was Ira Hayes since he has told them the story of the song sung by Johnny Cash.
