Music is in the air

True to the Christmas season, both Zachary and Zane had programs in the last week.

Zachary is playing the baritone in band this year.  Who knows if he will continue in the future but for now I think he is enjoying it.  He is third chair which to me is really good.  This was their first concert.  Amazing how well they do for only playing from the end of August to now.

This is all beginning band – grade six.  A LOT of kids.12-06-12 Zachary concert 0212-06-12 Zachary concert 0312-06-12 Zachary concert 04Zachary waiting.12-06-12 Zachary concert 0512-06-12 Zachary concert 07Getting ready…12-06-12 Zachary concert 09And standing for the applause.12-06-12 Zachary concert 13There is Zachary’s friend, Braden playing percussion.  12-06-12 Zachary concert 01It was just really fun to watch these kids.

That was last Thurs. Then Zane had his first grade program this Tuesday night.  I always love watching the little ones.  They are so much fun.

First the little ones are told to get the waves out of the way.  Zane was looking for us. (Sorry about the head.  Really hard to photo around heads!)12-11-12 Zachary concert 0112-11-12 Zachary concert 02He said he could not see us so just waved.  12-11-12 Zachary concert 04Now back to the show…12-11-12 Zachary concert 0612-11-12 Zachary concert 07Can you tell what they are doing?12-11-12 Zachary concert 08The little boy in the blue on our right is Aiden, a friend of Zane’s.12-11-12 Zachary concert 09The little girl with the ponytails and the little red arrow under her chin is Audrey, in Zane’s class and our neighbor.12-11-12 Zachary concert 11In case you could not tell, they are all in pajamas.  The story revolved around staying in bed and bedtime stories.12-11-12 Zachary concert 12

Two wonderful shows!  I know you all enjoy watching your children and grandchildren in all these programs.  I certainly do!
