Trying for that perfect picture of the sunrise

I feel like I am forever adjusting my settings to take that perfect picture of the sunrise or sunset or clouds.  Sheesh.  Will I ever get better?  I need to join our local photography club and take some more lessons at the local college.  If they offer another one!

I think I need a mentor.  Or a private teacher!

All untouched.

1/800s, f7.1, ISO20007-16-12 sunrise 11/2500s, f6.1, ISO 64007-16-12 sunrise 21/600s, f9, ISO 64007-16-12 sunrise 31/250s, f10, ISO 200  All of these are really a bit too dark. I had some light ones.  Really light!  Will try again.07-16-12 sunrise 41/125s, f9, ISO 40007-16-12 sunrise 51/200s, f10, ISO 40007-16-12 sunrise 61/1600s, f5, ISO 64007-16-12 sunrise 71/500s, f5.6, ISO 36007-16-12 sunrise 81/1250s, f4.8, ISO 40007-16-12 sunrise 9As soon as we get back from vacation I need to send my camera off to get the flash worked on.  For some reason it pops up but does not fire.  Good thing I rarely use a flash!

Your photos are beautiful. Part of the fun of photography is adjusting those settings. Each seem to give a different perspective. Nice work!
