Our July New Mexico and Colorado vacation–Part 2–West Dolores Campground and Telluride, CO

First I have to apologize for the title of my last post. It was supposed to be Mesa Verde not West Dolores. Hopefully this one if correct!

The view from our front door in West Dolores Campground.  This is very beautiful country.  07-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 18Everything is so green and beautiful.  Of course, we got rain just about every day.  Thank goodness because there were fires everywhere in Colorado before we got here.07-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 02This little hummingbird posed for me.07-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 1207-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 0407-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 24I just love this look on Zane’s face.07-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 0807-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 19And yes, Buddy went swimming in the Dolores River.  He loves the water!07-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 20Thank goodness we could have a fire and s’mores.  We were wondering after all the rain if it would happen!07-22-12 West Dolores campground CO 25

We took a little side trip up to Telluride and rode the FREE gondola.  Actually it is like three gondolas.  One has two stops then there is another that goes to Mountain Village.  Mountain Village is a little exclusive town just to the south of Telluride.  Beautiful town.   We enjoyed a lunch at Smuggler Joe’s Brew Pub.  Pretty darn good!
