We started to the Grand Canyon in drizzly skies that followed us to the park. But we still got to see the wonderful canyon. Some of my pictures are not really clear but it was just the foggy atmosphere. This is a tribute to the Indian tribes from that area. All the different names are around the edge.
I don’t think there is an ugly view from any point.
The squirrels were quite friendly and would run under you feet. Ask Ross – he was nearly tripped by one.
I think the Grand Canyon is something everyone should see but we know that is not always possible. Come to Amarillo and you can see the Palo Duro Canyon. A much smaller scale.
This is the building we saw when we were here 30 years ago. You can climb to the top and see a long way! Here is some information about the tower. The ceiling on the first floor is made from the timbers you see.
Looking up to the very top.
Some of the artwork is really cool I only climbed up to the third level. That is Ross below.
From here we headed out to Flagstaff and on to Albuquerque.
This is on my "I want to go there" list, but...not sure it it will happen, so thank you for sharing your wonderful photos!
