They predicted this wind for today. Told us we would have sustained winds of 40 mph. We heard it. And we have “hunkered down”. OK, so I have gone outside to take pictures. I mean, ya gotta see this!
People, it is nasty out there. And please, no burning. Keep those hot cars off of the grass. Keep the cigarettes in the car (quit smoking!). No cooking out either. There are several out of control grass fires out there now. Scares me!
We took Zane to the playground at one of the local parks yesterday. We took lunch but ended up eating it in the car since the wind was a bit brisk. There were lots of kids at the park. Parents taking advantage of a nice day to take their preschoolers and toddlers out. Zane climbed all over the equipment. And I have to say I was impressed by the parks playground. There were so many things to play with. We just need to work with Zane to climb some of the rope things and do the monkey bars. Gotta build that strength in his arms.

Today the wind was up again and Zane had a hard time breathing. We had to give breathing treatments. Guess we won’t go back to the park for a bit. But at least our weather is warming. And this was just good fun.
Remember those photo a day things. Well, as most of you know, I just cannot blog a photo a day. Not sure why, but I can’t. For that matter I usually don’t even take ONE photo. I just click away. So I decided I would do either the who week prompts or at least a few days. Here goes for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Monday: Frame I love this frame. It was in my grandmother’s house. It still has the same pictures in it.
Tuesday: Game Zane and I play Battleship every once in awhile. If you have never played with a 5 year old…
Wednesday: Hat Hat! Hat! That was a hard one to think about. But then we went for the motorcycle ride today so I took a self picture with my phone in the helmet. Hey, that’s a hat!
Thursday is item and Friday is Junk. I have lots of those. Then Saturday and Sunday should be a breeze. Uh huh. Famous last words.
I forgot to show the pictures from Zachary’s Valentine party. Fourth grade is a bit different I think from the other grades. All of a sudden they are not quite as off the wall. Oh, don’t get me wrong, they are excited. Just – different.

He is a pretty serious kid and I love to see him just enjoying. Oh, and he had straight A’s this six weeks! His mom said she was very very excited to not have that ONE B. Love this kid.
It really was not meant to be Valentine cookies. I was just making chocolate chip cookies with Zane. Then I remembered some heart shaped cookie pans and thought “Hey, I can make a few big cookies to share.” So Zane and I pressed the cookie dough into the pans and baked them. They came are great. Then Zane chimed in “Nana, let’s decorate them!” I said, “Hmmmmm, not sure I have anything to decorate them with, Zane.” “Yes you do, Nana! We have stuff from the Christmas cookies.” Sigh. He was so right and I am glad we did this. He had so much fun.

I just could not get him to hold one while I took his picture with it! But he was busy showing them off to everyone.
It has been awhile since I took some good pictures of the sky and today was the day! It was such a gorgeous day I had to take lots of photos.
