Zane turned five – 5 – yesterday! Hard to believe. He wanted every party there is: Jump ‘n Jive (those blow up jumpers in a huge building. Most big cities have something like this); Chuck E Cheese; Mr. Gatti’s (another game/pizza place); bowling. You name it, he wanted it. He settled on Jump ‘n Jive but that will be held on the weekend. But he really really wanted Chuck E Cheese. So Ross and I picked him and Drew, his friend, up from school yesterday for a lunch of Chuck E Cheese and games. Yep, excited! Yep, off the wall excited. He had so much fun. Both of them did. Oh, so did Ross. And Kathleen met us there too. It was nice.
I have to say I really like to take the little ones here. They can run and play and it is is a nice safe well lit place. I mainly sat at the table and let them have it. Ross was out there playing a few games too so if they had a problem, they usually found him.
OK, where did my tickets go? These boys play really well together but have totally different agendas. Zane had money until the very end. Drew, not so much. He went through it fast. But wherever Drew went, Zane followed – most of the time. Almost too short to drive this. Drew shooting the hoops. They even had Chuck there yesterday. Perfect as Zane would say. Not sure you can see that grin on his face.
Successful birthday. His mama, Kathleen, said he fell asleep in the chair yesterday afternoon. It was hard to wake him up for choir practice.
