I have been scrapping!

Now if I could just get back to my cross stitching!

But I need to share.  So far behind.  I am working on last year’s trip to all those national parks.  But I also played with some pictures from the snow last year.

More from the Taos trip

Snow.  We woke up to snow that Saturday morning.  And probably about three inches of it.  Cynthia took a picture of my truck from her room in the condo.

10-23-10 Cynthia pic of truckIt was beautiful.  I think it was the first snow of the season.  We were really concerned we might be get snowed in!  Right.  We went to town to eat breakfast and there was NO snow down the mountain.   We even had snow when we got back from town!  Perfect night to stay in.  Cynthia had sprained or tore her achilles tendon so we went home and Molly fixed taco soup.  We even fixed s’mores.  Perfect evening.  (Except for Cynthia in pain!  Yikes!)    10-23-10 first snow Taos ski 04 10-23-10 first snow Taos ski 05 10-23-10 first snow Taos ski 06 10-23-10 first snow Taos ski 07 10-23-10 first snow Taos ski 0810-23-10 first snow Taos ski 0910-23-10 first snow Taos ski 10 10-23-10 first snow Taos ski 12 10-23-10 first snow Taos ski 13 10-23-10 iphone Taos snow 110-23-10 iphone Taos snow 310-23-10 iphone Taos snow 4 The next morning we got up and packed to go home.  Sigh.  It has to end sometime.10-24-10 Cynthia Molly Becky Taos 07 Some pictures on the drive down from the condo.  Beautiful views!  I keep repeating myself.10-24-10 near Taos ski area 410-24-10 near Taos ski area 710-24-10 near Taos ski area 210-24-10 near Taos ski area 3The end!10-24-10 Cynthia Molly Becky Taos 06crop

Sisters’ get away – the drive to Taos

Last weekend my two sisters, Cynthia and Molly, and I took a girls’ trip to Taos, NM.  Cynthia’s boss, Elaine, has a condo on the slopes in the ski valley and graciously let us use it.  It was great.  We had a blast (except for Cynthia twisting her ankle)!

Our first stop was in Endee, NM.  Just a wide spot on the road but they have a new truck stop, Russell’s, that has a big showroom for some classic cars.  I need to drag Ross back there.  He will love it.

The colors were at the end of the changes but golden!  And the views were awesome.

We found a really cool old cemetery.  I love old cemeteries.  So much history there.10-22-10 to Taos 13Don’t you love Molly’s yoga pose?10-22-10 to Taos 17 10-22-10 to Taos 19Interesting on this stone that the black is in the heart carved on the back.10-22-10 to Taos 32 10-22-10 to Taos 20 10-22-10 to Taos 23 10-22-10 to Taos 24 Hammerhead for a grave marker.  10-22-10 to Taos 2510-22-10 to Taos 27 10-22-10 to Taos 28 10-22-10 to Taos 31 Anyway, we saw elk, wild turkey, and a tarantula.  No deer.  Oh, and lots of antelope. 10-22-10 to Taos 4210-22-10 to Taos 51But it was the colors that were just awesome!!!10-22-10 to Taos 3310-22-10 to Taos 3410-22-10 to Taos 3810-22-10 to Taos 3910-22-10 to Taos 4010-22-10 to Taos 4510-22-10 to Taos 4710-22-10 to Taos 50 The dirt road just added to the beauty.10-22-10 to Taos 5210-22-10 to Taos 5310-22-10 to Taos 54
