Took a little trip…

Made the plunge and took a short trip to the Dallas area looking for a travel trailer.  No, did not buy one but I think I came back more confused than ever.  What we were looking for is called a hybrid.  It usually has beds on each end in a tent type setup.  Like a pop up.  However the rest of the trailer is like a regular travel trailer.  We are wanting one with a slide.  We are wanting the tent ends to not need to be snapped and not have poles!  Those are a pain in the butt. And after looking, I know of several I want and don’t want.  Now to find a used one that is not so expensive!  And close to home. 

We had a great trip except it was cold in the Dallas area.  We went to Decatur, Denton, Lewisville, Mesquite, Cleburne, Dublin, Bayer.  Whew!  Two days of traveling.  Stayed in a couple of nice Comfort Inns.  The first one was an old one in Decatur but the room was great and the bed was wonderful.  The second was a new one in Glen Rose.  NICE!  Great breakfast in each.

The drive through Cleburne, Dublin, Bayer, Stephenville, etc. is really pretty.  Don’t necessarily  want to travel that in the heat of summer there but…

A bonus of our stop was this great blue heron.  Not sure where he popped up from but it was a great site. Sorry I did not have my other zoom lens on – maybe I would have caught a better photo.

 

Clouds really popped up just north of Abilene.  Beautiful.

Plans at this point are to MAYBE go to south Texas – Austin, San Antonio, etc. at spring break and do a bit more looking.  By now I just want to find one and be done! :)

Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy basketball

I am learning how to set my camera to take some indoor basketball pictures.  Not there yet but telling a definite difference.

And always blurry.  OK, what do I need to change for blurry?  Hmmm.  Movement.  Faster finger?  Oh, yeah, maybe a new camera.  Or move with the kids!

A little late on Zachary’s Valentine party

Well, gee, I really wanted to get this done sooner but you know how it goes.  Better late than never. 

Zane and I attended Zachary’s school Valentine party last week.  In Zane’s words “that party was so fun”.  It was fun. 

First they were given a package with a bear valentine to put together.  A craft!  That was fun for Zachary.

 

Then – FOOD!  They had chicken nuggets for them and fruit and cupcakes and cookies.  And Zane got to eat too.

“Hey, bro, you see that?”  “Yeah, interesting, but keep eating.”  Whatever it was, it caught their attention.

They both had a great time. 

Valentine party

Zane had a Valentine party at Mother’s Day Out yesterday.  The kids get pumped on something sweet then run and play.  Great for the little ones.  Wearing on the adults I think.  But it is fun!

I have a few pictures but have to share a scrapbook page I did of something I have learned from the teachers at Mother’s Day Out.

Third grade basketball is a hoot!

I love watching Zachary play any sport pretty much.  But he just seems to LOVE basketball.  He loves any sport but the adrenalin just seems to pump with basketball.  However, I hate taking pictures.  Yep, still harping on needing a DSLR.  Anyone want to give me one?  I will advertise it for you.  :)

So here a a few pictures of Third Grade Basketball. 

I really had to work in Photoshop to get the colors and brightness good in these photos.  For some reason they came out very yellow.  And of course dark!

Maybe I should just use the video camera.  Sigh.
