We took Zachary and Zane fishing today at the lake at Medipark. It is a lovely lake with ducks and geese and fish. Even an occasional turtle and squirrel. It has been full since our rains this year. Last night we had rain so it was muddy. Perfect for the worms be bought last night. We did not get an early start. After all, that is not fun for kids ( or me!). We probably got to the park about 10:30. At one point I went to move Zane’s pole. (No license to fish.) I pulled in the line and damned if there was not a fish on the end! Quickly had Zane come over and grab the pole! Oh my goodness. So glad there was not a ranger near.
Kathleen came across the street from her work to check on the boys. And at that point Zane caught a fish! Ross sitting. He is trying to get that fish off the hook. Catch and release! Lots of interesting birds. Gotta concentrate! Ross sitting. So proud of his catch! Me standing. Tiny but mighty!Ross sitting.Me putting worms on hooks (not sitting). Do you see a pattern here? Hmmmm. This is the best way to fish. And the boys did feed the ducks some bread. Always a favorite thing to do.And then it was time to go. See ya!
