Keeping those farm hands busy

Sometimes farm hands have to do other chores besides farming.  So we put the oldest to work roofing.  Yes, I know he is not quite 10 but he seems to love it.  Says it was fun.  Just wait until he gets about, oh, 12?  Think that long?07-24-10 Roofing 6 07-24-10 Roofing 1 07-24-10 Roofing 207-24-10 Roofing 4 07-24-10 Roofing 5Meanwhile, the other hand was NOT working.07-24-10 Zane 2 07-24-10 Zane 1 Which reminds me, we did give our help a little respite yesterday.  Took them to Sports World for a little putt putt.07-23-10 Putt putt 01 07-23-10 Putt putt 02 07-23-10 Putt putt 03 07-23-10 Putt putt 04 07-23-10 Putt putt 05 07-23-10 Putt putt 06 07-23-10 Putt putt 07 07-23-10 Putt putt 08 07-23-10 Putt putt 09 07-23-10 Putt putt 10It was fun!  And Zachary beat us all!  Yep, he certainly did.

Today we had some storms move in.  Got a little rain, not much.  But it was pretty.   One more small thing.  We had this wasp type bug pulling a wolf spider around today.  I am sure taking it to it’s nest.  Anyone know what this is?  Going to see if I can Google it.  Need to go spray!!07-24-10 bugs 1 07-24-10 bugs 2 07-24-10 bugs 3 07-24-10 bugs 4Yuck!

PS:  Mystery solved.  It is a Spider wasp or Tachypompilus ferrugineus.  Apparently they feed on wolf spiders and others.  Again, YUCK!  Going to go spray that crevice I saw them disappear in.
