I am ready – just about. I have three small gifts to buy. Those I will pick up tomorrow while I am out. I am ready for a bit of a slowdown around here too. Not that I will have much of that with boys around!
So, how are you celebrating Christmas? Do you have a celebration on Christmas Eve, just Christmas Day? We go to Ross’s sister and brother-in-law’s house Christmas Eve and have a dinner and open presents there. Then we go home and Christmas Day have a dinner and open presents with my side of the family. I am fixing enchiladas again this year. We decided for something different for Christmas. I think everyone enjoys it. And of course everyone chips in something. Cynthia is bringing white chili chicken soup; Molly salad and pumpkin empanadas; Kathleen Spanish rice. We will have plenty to eat.
Memories of Christmas past are so bittersweet this year. Remembering Mom and Dad and our times as a children.
OK, so going to share some photos – of course! Zane at his Christmas party at Mother’s Day Out.
In line to go to the party. So cute.
The kids are told to “catch a bubble” and grab their hands. The bubble is to be kept in their mouth and don’t pop it! In other words, no talking. See Zane’s face!
Dad and Zane in line to get goodies! ![]()
And enjoying the party!
Zachary’s school party. First they had assembly and sang some cute holiday songs. You know, no Christian songs. That would not do. Sheesh!
Zane loved it! He sang right along. Then chaos and I actually got a shot of Zachary.
To the classroom for the party. Zane just was in such awe. The kids all loved it.
There was a live music group there as well. One of them was the granddad of one of the students and was in town for a concert. Zachary is being a great big brother and holding Zane and just listening. Both boys really enjoyed the party.
Here are some pictures of the sky I took the other morning. Thanks to Cynthia for the heads up on looking at the sky.
And then this huge flock of geese that went flying over while I was out shopping. I just love looking up and watching them and hearing their calls.
I will have boys the next few days and then Christmas. Think I better update a bit more often? Yep, probably. We have plans…
Becky the picture are adorable.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big the boys are now!
I hope you and yours have blessed Christmas.
Hugs about your folks girl.
bless you all!
Merry Christmas, Becky! These are great photos, you've been busy! Our plans are to have people over after church on Christmas Eve for punch and cookies, then go to our best friends' house for Christmas Day dinner. Then after Xmas we'll be off to South Carolina for holidays with Stan's southern family, for a couple of days. Ham for Christmas dinner, but enchiladas sound great! I have a friend who did all finger foods for Christmas day, she said it was a blast and so easy!
