Busy busy busy!

Yes, busy!  We seem to be going non-stop lately.  We are babysitting the boys full time for summer and there is always something that needs to be done or somewhere to go.  We have been doing and seeing lots of things.

Let's see - end of school awards and Zachary got several awards.  He is really a good student.  Hooray for Zachary. I think he had 7 or 8 awards.

Zane helped Papa Ross work on our tiller - it is still not good!

We bought a new travel trailer and took it back.  We felt it was just too much for our truck (yes, I know, need a diesel!).  So looks like we will be taking the pop up this summer unless something falls into our hands.  Still looking for something smaller, lighter.

And the flowers have been blooming and the rain has been falling and the garden is in and life seems to be going well.

My hostas are huge! Next year I have to thin them again.  If you want any, be sure and let me know.

I took the boys to a cemetery to feed the ducks and geese.  You heard me right - a cemetery.  It is really a great place to go.  It is very quiet and peaceful.

I went to Llano because a friend had been there and saw a strange bird.  Well, I love taking pictures of some of these birds so I just had to see and figure out what kind it was.

Isn't he pretty?  It is a black crowned night heron.  Now let me tell you, he does not really look like the picture in my Guide to Field Identification Birds of North America so I had to do some research to find that this is really what it is.

And the other ducks and geese did not like to share food with this bird.  Interesting.

We took a picnic lunch (Arby's) with us and went to Mom's place and sat under her tree and ate.  I am sure she enjoyed us being there.

Zachary is playing indoor flag football again.  He loves it.  But the arena is so hot in the summer.  Oh well, the life of a Nana and Papa.  He plays quarterback and is pretty good but would much rather be playing wide receiver.  He is good at that job too but right now the team needs him as quarterback.

I will be back tomorrow or Friday and share some more of the last couple of weeks.  Like I said - BUSY!
