Summertime and WIND!!!

It is hot. Very hot here for the month of June. We have had record heat several days. And wind. Not just wind but howling hard hot wind!! It is just awful. All my flowers and the vegetable garden are suffering. Sad sad sad. It is hard for the kids to go out and play because the dirt just affects their ears and eyes and sinuses. And besides, did I mention it is HOT! One day was 106! IN JUNE!!!!!!!!! The swimming pool is not even up here yet. Too windy to get it set up. We are going to the library on Monday and get signed up for the summer reading program so at least that will give us something to look forward to.

Some photos of kids (who else!):

Isn't this a sweet picture? I did realize I had even snapped it until I was looking this morning at pictures to add here. Zachary helping Zane leave after the last day of Mother's Day Out for this school year.

And here he is taking his nap mat and leaving. He was ready to go home. He always is!!

Kite flying on one of the less windy days. Zachary got his up which was pretty good. I may buy them a couple of better kites. At least Zachary. Zane is just fine with a cheap one! (No that is not our place in the background for thos wondering. LOL I am standing in our driveway. But that is part of our land in between.)

Can you tell Zane just got up from his nap? He spotted the watercolors that Zachary had been using and wanted to paint. He did pretty good. Nice abstract art.

Ross made Zachary a ramp to jump his bike over. Zachary had fun and worked hard at seeing what he could do. Ahhh, boys! I took some video too. Below is a video of Zachary jumping. Rather it is several snippets of him jumping all hooked together.

OK, going to finish this post now. I have been trying to get done since this morning at 5:30! It has been a very busy day. Weeded the garden for two hours, washed and folded clothes, took stems out of cherries so I can make jelly, kept Zane for a bit so Mama could take Zachary to soccer practice (did not want Zane in the wind and heat), cooked dinner and fed all; oh, dealt with the satellite people -fixed! That is enough.

Here is a freebie as promised. It was for a challenge at Digi By Design that I was hosting. You can pick up Elements and Paper. Now I have to get back to my scrapping. I am so far behind.

thanks, this is very pretty. Will attempt again today to get on the site. Registered many months ago, bookmarked the site and never could get back on. 2 days ago, used a link from a blog and got on the site. Bookmarked it again and yesterday, the bookmark didn't work. Can't figure this one out.
