Fingers & Toes & Football...

OK, crazy I know but here is how it happened. My sister, Molly, asked Cynthia, my other sister, and I to go have a pedicure as a gift to us for Christmas. We were thrilled! How fun would it be for the three of us to sit in those massage chairs, with toes in the water, talking and giggling. And at this spa they had big screen TVs that we kept an eye on the Dallas/Detroit game while we relaxed. We giggled, talked seriously, shared some memories, kept our manicurists wondering what we might say next. (Some was - interesting!) Dallas was struggling a bit (that is an understatement!) so from time to time we cussed them then cheered them. All in all a GREAT day. We had so much fun. Ended up having manicures and pedicures. We were there for over two hours!!! And look at this page I did of pictures of our nails. (Yes, I always have a camera.) We picked colors so similar it was scary. Oh, I hope we do this again. Not necessarily the manicure/pedicure, just get together and have fun. We do it so rarely. What fun! Here is my page:

OK, now for news from here. Dad is back in the hospital. He has double pneumonia again and a kidney infection that he has been fighting for a couple of weeks and fluid around his heart (yes, congestive heart). He does not feel good and is having some depression missing Mom so much this year. It is hard this time of year especially for him as their anniversary was the 26th of December. So keep him in your prayers please.

Zachary was sick yesterday with a stomach bug but he seems to be fine today. Kids do bounce back. And Zane is about over his ear infections again. Everyone else seems to be doing fine. Knock on wood!! Here are a couple of photos of them this last weekend when they stayed with us overnight. We just love having them. One is of the boys coloring and the other playing a video game. If you could see Zane's controller you would see it is not hooked up but he does all the car moves. So cute!

It is ICY and COLD here. Winter has arrived. But hey, it is December so it should be expected. So why do people complain? It happens every year even if we do not want it.

I just saw this. I'm tickled to death that you, Cynthia and Molly had such fun together. What a great way to spend a Sunday before Christmas. You deserved this and I'm glad you did it.
